Everyday wear
- Put jewellery on last — after perfume, hairspray, lotion and make-up.
- Remove pieces before swimming, bathing, cleaning, gardening or going to the gym.
- Avoid contact with chlorine and household chemicals, which can affect metal finishes.
Cleaning at home
- Soak in warm water with a few drops of mild washing-up liquid for 15–20 minutes.
- Gently brush behind the stones with a soft baby toothbrush, where oils and dust collect.
- Rinse in clean warm water (with the plug in!) and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
Storage
- Store each piece separately in its Aureel box or a soft pouch — diamonds can scratch other jewellery and each other.
- Fasten necklace and bracelet clasps before storing to prevent tangling.
Metal-specific care
| Metal | Care note |
|---|---|
| White Gold | Rhodium plating gives white gold its bright finish and may need re-plating every 1–2 years with regular wear. |
| Yellow & Rose Gold | Polish with a soft jewellery cloth to restore lustre. |
| Platinum | Naturally white and durable; develops a soft patina over time that can be polished away. |
Annual check
We recommend having claw settings and clasps checked once a year — especially for rings and tennis bracelets worn daily. Contact us to arrange an inspection.
